Primary Function
The Project Manager oversees broadcast capital refresh projects from initial planning through final implementation. This role partners with vendors and internal stakeholders to maximize resources, drive efficiencies, and ensure successful project delivery.
Duties & Responsibilities
Define scope, budget, schedule, and milestones; manage risks and change.
Coordinate stakeholders (IT/Facilities/Security) and vendors.
Oversee RFPs/submittals, site logistics, and cutover planning.
Ensure standards, documentation, training, and handover.
Track progress, approvals, and financials; report status.
Provide end to end project leadership, ensuring alignment with scope, budget, schedule, and quality standards.
Develop detailed project plans that integrate client requirements with organizational objectives and coordinate cross functional teams throughout all project phases.
Track project progress continuously and deliver regular, structured status reports on milestones, deliverables, risks, and dependencies.
Communicate proactively with stakeholders to encourage collaboration, identify issues, recommend solutions, and implement process improvements.
Analyze project financials and provide actionable insights related to cost benefit analysis and return on investment.
As the industry rapidly evolves, stay current with tools in AI content production and technical AV environments, advise on the impacts of AI and generative AI tools at various stages of development, and how to leverage AI for scale and speed in workflows.
Monitor project expenditures and manage costs to remain within approved budgets.
Maintain accurate project documentation in accordance with client and organizational requirements.
Prepare and present comprehensive reports, documentation, and executive level updates as required.
Attend project meetings, record minutes, and distribute updates in alignment with client expectations.
Review and evaluate proposed project changes, collaborating with stakeholders to approve and implement beneficial modifications.
Research and analyze best-in-class technical practices across the industry, assist the team in designing approaches for AI, updating frameworks and protocols for engagement.
Perform duties outside regular business hours (evenings/weekends) to support project commissioning and cutover activities as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
Demonstrated leadership experience with strong collaboration and team building capabilities.
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft tools, particularly Excel and Microsoft Project.
Ability to support projects related to information security, identity management, and entitlement provisioning.
Strong project management fundamentals and best practice knowledge.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to lead change management efforts.
Understanding of the principles, ethics, and modalities of generative artificial intelligence (AI) and their audio/video applications
Exceptional structured communication skills with ability to train teams and translate complex technical concepts across departments
Curiosity and interest in innovation is encouraged, and an understanding of the principles, ethics, and modalities of AI and generative artificial intelligence (AI) and their audio/video applications
Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively to technical and non technical audiences.
Comfortable working in a fast paced, high pressure environment.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in broadcast media, AV systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Minimum of three (3) years of project management experience.
PMP certification is desired; in lieu of PMP, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification will be considered
