A Carter Lumber Door Shop Assembly Worker is responsible for fulfilling special orders as requested in a timely and accurate manner. This is accomplished by producing needed materials, calculating measurements and assembling the product to the customer’s specification. Adheres to safety regulations when handling material and equipment. A strong belief in the mission and goals of the company are necessary to this position.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a millwork environment is preferred, but willing to train

  • Knowledge of tools preferred; General carpentry skills are a plus

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Possess strong mathematic skills to calculate measurements

  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

  • Ability to work in a team environment

Responsibilities:

  • Work on a Door Assembly line to manufacture and assemble interior Prehung doors

  • Utilize air nail guns, staplers and other tools needed to assemble doors

  • Ability to lift up to 75lbs

  • Pick and pull production material as needed

  • Ability to read a tape measure preferred
