Description
A growing manufacturing company is seeking a Buyer / Planner to join its Supply Chain team. This role will be responsible for purchasing materials and managing production planning activities to ensure customer demand is met while maintaining efficient inventory levels.
The ideal candidate will have prior manufacturing purchasing experience, be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and enjoy being part of a close-knit team. This position offers broad exposure to operations, production, inventory management, and supply chain planning within a collaborative manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities
Purchase materials, castings, and components required to support production schedules
Monitor inventory levels and place purchase orders to maintain appropriate stock levels
Coordinate material availability with production schedules and customer demand
Develop and maintain production and material planning schedules
Work closely with shipping, production, quality, and tool crib teams to ensure operational efficiency
Track supplier performance, delivery timelines, and order status
Resolve material shortages and communicate potential supply disruptions
Maintain accurate purchasing, inventory, and planning records
Analyze demand requirements and coordinate replenishment activities
Support continuous improvement initiatives within supply chain and operations
Assist with inventory management and cycle count activities as needed

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sturtevant, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $31.25/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
