As a Security Officer Site Patrol in Santa Barbara, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with site personnel and visitors, and document observations using computer or tablet-based tools. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a utilities location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.

• Monitor access points and verify authorization for employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors in accordance with site procedures.

• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.

• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities in required reports and logs.

Minimum Requirements:

• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

• Customer service experience is preferred.

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

• A guard card or license is preferred.

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
