Schedule: Full time Shift: Night (United States of America) Address: 601 E Rollins St City: Orlando State: Florida Postal Code: 32803 Job Description:
Performs hemodynamic procedures, including arterial cannulation. Participates in continuous learning and professional development to maintain and enhance skills. Performs respiratory therapies, recommending the most efficient delivery method per protocol. Utilizes patient assessment skills, protocols, chart review, and multidisciplinary team consultations to determine therapy efficacy and make appropriate recommendations and changes. Conducts airway maintenance, including but not limited to: manual resuscitators, suctioning, extubating, tracheostomy tube insertion, trach tube changes, oral and nasal pharyngeal airway insertion, endotracheal intubation, and procedural respiratory support. Achieves optimal respiratory support by administering oxygen, Heliox, Nitric Oxide, and Nitrogen; administer medications to the respiratory system; facilitate lung expansion and bronchial hygiene; and provide non-invasive, invasive, and advanced modes of mechanical ventilation. Initiates, maintains, transports, and monitors mechanical ventilators, including conventional and advanced modes of ventilation per policy and procedure, and monitors therapies. Manages transitional care and home ventilators. Provides support to the respiratory care team, ensuring adherence to protocols and standards. Practices standard precautions and enforces safety regulations according to hospital policies. Accurately documents and charges for procedures to meet quality standards set by the department and hospital. Performs ABG Puncture, analysis, and arterial cannulation. Performs CBG puncture and analysis. Conducts Co-oximetry analysis. Utilizes Transcutaneous CO2 monitoring. Responds immediately to Code Blue emergencies, providing CPR according to American Heart Association guidelines. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Maintain records and communicate information effectively. [Required]
- Utilize and adapt to computer systems and applications, demonstrating effective oral and written communication skills. [Required]
- Exhibit critical thinking and patient assessment skills, with the capacity to evaluate and modify treatment plans using patient care protocols. [Required]
- Optimize the use of equipment based on orders or protocols. [Required]
- Ensure adherence to infection control standards. [Required]
- Maintain a patent airway, including the insertion and care of artificial airways. [Required]
- Achieve optimal respiratory support by administering oxygen, Heliox, Nitric Oxide, and Nitrogen; administer medications to the respiratory system; facilitate lung expansion and bronchial hygiene; and provide non-invasive, invasive, and advanced modes of mechanical ventilation. [Required]
- Achieve optimal respiratory support using High Frequency Ventilation, including High Frequency Jet Ventilation and High Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation. [Required]
- Perform ABG Puncture, analysis, and arterial cannulation. [Required]
- Perform CBG puncture and analysis. [Required]
- Conduct Co-oximetry analysis. [Required]
- Utilize Transcutaneous CO2 monitoring. [Required]
- Manage patient transport ventilator. [Required]

- State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) [Required]
- Active NBRC Credentialed Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) [Preferred]

Pay Range:
$26.33 - $48.98 Background Screening Requirement (Florida Law)
