Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Electronics Engineer and/or Electronics Engineer. This position will be located at our Space sector in Dulles, VA
The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Integration and Test Team.
Duties:
- Researches, designs, develops, and tests a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including radar and radiation detection equipment; radio, television and other communications equipment and systems; circuitry components; analog and digital computers; and control and test equipment.
Basic Qualifications for an Associate Electronics Engineer:

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related STEM field
-
Comfortable performing hands-on work in a fast-paced environment
-
Work effectively with engineers, test personnel, technicians, program managers, Government leads, and cross-functional technical teams.
-
Willing and able to work flexible shifts to include 2nd and 3rd shifts occasionally
-
Able to travel in and out of the country
-
Willing and able to obtain DOD security clearance including a polygraph.
-
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
Basic Qualifications for a Electronics Engineer:
-
Be completing or has completed their Master’s degree from an accredited institution
-
Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM degree
-
Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
-
The ability to obtain Special Access Program within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
Preferred Qualifications for Both:
-
Experience with Python, C++, Matlab, or Labview programming.
-
Experience with hands-on troubleshooting of RF/communications hardware
Salary Range: 76,200 - 93,000
Primary Level Salary Range: $76,200.00 - $93,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
