Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Product Owner to support the Healthcare Provider, or HCP, workstream within a medical device organization’s Marketing team. This individual will help shape and execute the organization’s HCP CRM and engagement strategy. The Product Owner will serve as the connection point between HCP marketing, Growth Marketing, Sales, Commercial, IS, and development teams, translating business objectives and stakeholder needs into scalable CRM capabilities, customer journeys, requirements, and prioritized development work. The ideal candidate brings a combination of B2B CRM experience, product or customer marketing expertise, product ownership fundamentals, and strong commercial partnership skills. This person should be comfortable contributing to long-term strategy while remaining hands-on with journey development, requirements gathering, backlog management, stakeholder alignment, and program optimization. This is not a purely technical Product Owner position or a CRM administration role. Success requires someone who understands how CRM, marketing automation, customer insights, sales partnership, and provider engagement work together to produce measurable business value.

Short-Term Responsibilities

  • Support active HCP CRM engagement initiatives by developing, launching, and optimizing email and SMS journeys.

  • Evaluate existing CRM processes and journeys to identify opportunities for stronger segmentation, targeting, engagement, and business impact.

  • Gather requirements from HCP marketing, Growth Marketing, Sales, Commercial, and other business stakeholders.

  • Translate business objectives into functional requirements, user stories, workflows, acceptance criteria, and prioritized development work.

  • Partner with IS and development teams to clarify requirements, answer questions, and support successful delivery.

  • Participate in strategic discussions that help define the long-term vision for the HCP CRM workstream.

  • Contribute to 2026 data and foundational initiatives that will enable future HCP CRM and marketing capabilities.

  • Establish structure around developing or ambiguous initiatives by identifying stakeholders, dependencies, decisions, and next steps.

  • Participate in light user acceptance testing from a business-user perspective while partnering with the development team on broader technical testing. Long-Term Responsibilities:

  • Partner with HCP marketing teams to define business objectives, customer needs, functional requirements, and technical considerations.

  • Own and maintain the HCP CRM roadmap, aligning future capabilities with provider engagement goals and broader Growth Marketing strategy.

  • Collaborate with IS to create, prioritize, refine, and manage the HCP CRM development backlog.

  • Evaluate requests and enhancements based on business value, stakeholder needs, customer impact, effort, risk, dependencies, and strategic importance.

  • Work closely with Marketing stakeholders to design, build, launch, and scale HCP journeys and workflows.

  • Develop CRM capabilities that improve how the organization segments, communicates with, nurtures, and engages healthcare providers.

  • Identify opportunities to connect CRM and marketing activities to sales, commercial, pipeline, adoption, and field outcomes.

  • Use performance data, stakeholder feedback, customer insights, and voice-of-customer findings to guide journey optimization and roadmap decisions.

  • Support CRM adoption by clearly communicating the value of new capabilities and helping stakeholders incorporate them into their work.

  • Build repeatable processes, frameworks, and governance practices as the HCP CRM capability continues to mature.

  • Communicate progress, recommendations, outcomes, and business impact to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Serve as a strategic business partner who can challenge assumptions, recommend solutions, and influence decisions without direct authority.

Skills and Requirements

  • Approximately 5 to 8 years of relevant experience across CRM, product ownership, marketing technology, customer marketing, product marketing, channel marketing, marketing operations, or a closely related discipline.
  • Strong experience using CRM or marketing automation platforms in a B2B sales and marketing environment.
  • Experience supporting CRM-driven customer journeys, workflows, campaigns, or engagement programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather business requirements and translate them into user stories, workflows, backlog items, or other actionable work for technical teams.
  • Experience collaborating with marketing, sales, commercial, product, technical, and leadership stakeholders.
  • Understanding of customer or account segmentation and how it supports targeting, engagement, and business decisions.
  • Experience prioritizing competing stakeholder needs based on business value, customer impact, effort, risk, and strategic importance.
  • Ability to operate independently, create structure in ambiguous situations, and move initiatives forward with limited direction.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain business value and technical concepts to different audiences.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem-solving, ownership, adaptability, and follow-through.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent applicable experience.

  • Experience developing or optimizing email and SMS journeys.
  • Experience in healthcare, medical device, technology, SaaS, manufacturing, or another complex B2B enterprise environment.
  • Background in customer marketing, product marketing, channel marketing, sales enablement, go-to-market strategy, or offering management.
  • Experience partnering directly with field sales or commercial teams.
  • Experience with product launches, customer insights, market research, beta programs, or voice-of-customer initiatives.
  • Familiarity with CRM performance measures, journey analytics, engagement metrics, adoption, conversion, pipeline attribution, or sales outcomes.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and participating in backlog refinement, prioritization, acceptance criteria development, or sprint discussions.
  • Experience helping establish a new function, process, program, or organizational capability.
  • Consulting, business strategy, change management, or process improvement experience.
