Shift’s Available: Days (Sunday - Tuesday)

Hours: 12-hour shifts – 6:00am to 6:30pm

Location: Providence Medical Center – Kansas City, KS

We are seeking a Radiologic Technologist II, sometimes referred to as a Computer Tomography Tech or CT Tech. As the Radiology Technologist II you will specialize and be responsible for operating CT scanners and X-ray machines to produce cross-sectional images of patient’s internal organs and tissues. You will assist in diagnosing medical conditions and the treatment plan process, by producing high-quality images that help healthcare providers make informed decisions about our patient care.

Responsibilities

** If you just recently graduated and have your ARRT-R, looking to cross train in CT, you are encouraged to apply!!

**If you have your ARRT-MR and want to cross train in CT you are encouraged to apply!!

  • Prepare patients and ensure patients are properly positioned on the CT table and explain the procedure to them with empathy, address any concerns or questions they may have

  • Operate CT scanners and/or X-ray machines to obtain images of the targeted body parts, which may involve adjusting the CT scanner settings to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure, radiation safety at all times

  • Monitor our patients, as a CT Technologist ensure their comfort and safety throughout the procedure

  • Assist other radiologists, as you will work closely with them, who interpret the images you produced by the CT exam you may also assist in administering contrast agents or perform certain procedures

  • Accountable for the quality assurance of CT scanners / X-ray machines to ensure they function properly and produce accurate images

  • Responsible for maintaining radiologic supplies, making sure the equipment is in good operating order, and following protocols regarding infection control and hygiene

Qualifications

  • Licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by State

  • Effective July 1, 2017appropriate national certifications in two modalities required

  • Current BCLS (AHA)

  • Must be familiar with State and Federal regulations

  • One year of Acute Clinical Radiography preferrred

  • Graduate of an accredited radiology technology program required, JRCERT accreditation preferred

  • Proficient computer skills
