Full job description
POSITION DUTIES - To provide management and supervision to the staff of the Driver Testing Section, and to provide oversight and direction for the department’s driver skills testing program, including the authorization, certification, compliance and oversight of automobile, motorcycle and commercial driver license skills testing businesses and examiners. The Driver Testing Section is responsible for the management and administration of statewide programs that enhance the safety of skills testing applicants, novice drivers and experienced drivers as they participate in skills testing to obtain an operator’s license, commercial driver license or motorcycle endorsement, as well as skills testing performance evaluations to ensure they are capable of safely operating commercial motor vehicles, automobiles and motorcycles. Position participates in legislative analysis as needed, including drafting legislation. Directs special projects and functions as the expert and resource person to department staff, the driver testing and training communities and the public on driver skills testing issues.

APPOINTMENT TYPE/BENEFITS - This position is Full-Time. Therefore, you would be eligible to participate in the benefits offered by the state.
Education Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.
Experience Four years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level. Alternate Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree in any major AND 2 years of Dept of State Branch Supervisor 11 level or above experience OR 2 years of Departmental Supervisor 11 level experience OR 1 year of Departmental Supervisor 12, 13, or 14 experience.
High School diploma or GED AND 4 years of Dept of State Branch Supervisor 11 level or above experience OR 4 years of Departmental Supervisor 11 experience OR 3 year of Departmental Supervisor 12, 13, or 14 experience. Job Specification
