Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Project Controls Manager to support a large-scale infrastructure and capital projects program in Robstown, TX. This individual will be responsible for overseeing project controls functions across multiple active projects, including scheduling, cost management, forecasting, risk management, change management, reporting, and estimating support.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing project controls throughout the full project lifecycle, from planning and design through construction and commissioning. This role requires strong collaboration with engineering, procurement, construction, finance, and operations teams to ensure projects remain on schedule, within budget, and aligned with business objectives.
Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and manage integrated EPC project schedules across all project phases, including design, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning. Monitor project progress, identify schedule risks, and implement recovery plans when needed. Establish and track project controls KPIs, milestones, forecasts, and performance metrics. Analyze project performance data and provide reports and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership teams. Manage project budgets, commitments, expenditures, accruals, forecasts, and cash flow reporting. Support project teams with change management processes, documentation, and approval workflows. Partner with estimating teams by providing benchmarking data, project feedback, lessons learned, and process improvement recommendations. Develop and maintain project and executive-level reporting dashboards, presentations, and status reports.
Skills and Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 7+ years of experience supporting large-scale commercial, industrial, infrastructure, or capital construction projects. Proven experience in project controls, including scheduling, cost control, forecasting, and risk management. Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously within a program environment. Strong understanding of project management and project controls methodologies. Proficiency with Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project. Experience supporting EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects. Familiarity with earned value management (EVM) principles and performance tracking. Experience developing executive-level dashboards and reporting packages. Knowledge of change management and risk management best practices.
