Full job description
Reporting to the Supervisor of Health Services, you will provide professional nursing care that supports the health, safety, and well-being of employees in a manufacturing environment. You will use sound nursing judgment within the scope of a Registered Nurse license to assess, treat, and monitor occupational and non-occupational health concerns, maintain accurate medical records, support health and safety programs, and collaborate with health, safety, operations, and human resources teams to promote a safe workplace.
Schedule: will vary based on nurse availability and plant needs
3rd shift hours are typically 11pm - 7am
A Taste of Your Responsibilities

Maintain and adhere to Occupational Health Services policies, procedures, and medical evaluation guidelines.

Perform occupational health services under physician standing orders.

Provide first aid, emergency care, and stabilization for injured or ill employees and coordinate appropriate transportation when necessary.

Assess and treat occupational and non-occupational illnesses and injuries in accordance with medical evaluation guidelines.

Administer over-the-counter and prescription medications as authorized by standing medication orders and the company physician.

Schedule and perform health assessments and testing, including post-hire assessments, injury and illness evaluations, respirator and hazardous materials surveillance, and drug and alcohol testing.

Partner with health, safety, operations, and human resources teams to support employee health initiatives.

Communicate work-related injury and illness information to leadership, medical case management resources, and third-party administrators.

Support the follow-up, maintenance, and documentation of workers' compensation cases.

Conduct routine plant walkthroughs to verify compliance with modified and restricted duty requirements.

Maintain occupational health records and reporting systems in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration, state, company, and legal requirements.

Protect the confidentiality of employee health information and records.

Assist with employee health promotion, education, and training programs.
-
Support health and safety objectives and coordinate additional medical treatment for occupational injuries when needed.

Recommend preventive and corrective actions that improve employee health and workplace safety.

Maintain inventories of health services supplies and personal protective equipment.
-
Deliver wellness program training and education.
-
Complete Occupational Safety and Health Administration recordkeeping requirements.

Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations.
-
Prepare medical statistical reports and maintain accurate documentation.

Collect and document accident and illness information.
Ingredients Required for Your Success

Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Iowa.
-
Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
-
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
-
Two or more years of nursing experience, preferably in occupational health, emergency services, or high volume clinic.

Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and First Aid certification.

Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
-
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Excel.

Strong report-writing and documentation skills.
-
Experience maintaining confidential health records and working within regulatory requirements.

Knowledge of occupational health, workers' compensation processes, and workplace safety programs preferred.
Physical Requirements
More information about essential tasks and the facility will be shared during the hiring process. This role may require you to be in our manufacturing facilities. When visiting these sites, the physical requirements below may apply:
You may be required to walk around the facility, climb stairs/ladders, kneel, or perform repetitive tasks that require hand-eye coordination.
You may be required to lift or carry materials that can vary in weight and size.
This is a manufacturing environment with large, moving equipment. Noise levels can be high, and temperatures may vary.

Compensation
Pay Range:$60,000-$80,000
The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
