Job Description
The Data Governance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the quality, security, and proper management of critical business data across the organization. This role collaborates with business and IT teams to define data governance policies, ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements, and support data protection strategies. Key Responsibilities:
- Define and implement data governance policies and standards
- Identify critical data sources and establish data retention requirements
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across systems
- Support backup, archiving, and data storage strategies
- Collaborate with IT teams on network segmentation and data protection initiatives
- Maintain documentation and data inventory records
- Assist in the creation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to data management
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations
- Support continuous improvement of data governance processes
Qualifications
- achelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data governance, data management, or similar roles
- Experience managing critical business data and backup systems in enterprise environments
- Knowledge of data backup and archiving processes
- Experience with Microsoft Azure (File Share, Blob Storage) (preferred)
- Experience with Veeam Backup & Replication and/or GoodSync (preferred)
- Understanding of network segmentation and firewall concepts (preferred)
- ITIL 4 Foundation certification
- Advanced English proficiency (additional languages are a plus)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment
Additional Information
Salary: To be agreed Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Work Modality: Hybrid work model Contract Type: Indefinite-term contract
