What We Offer

The Facility Maintenance Technician III performs advanced maintenance work to keep our healthcare facilities safe, reliable, and in good working condition. This role focuses on general facility maintenance, with a strong emphasis on locksmith services and fire door maintenance. The Technician will also support a variety of building systems and respond to maintenance needs across the facility.

  • On-call rotation, including weekend coverage during assigned rotations

What You'll Do

  • Perform advanced facility maintenance and repairs as assigned by Plant Engineering Services leadership.

  • Perform locksmith work, including maintaining, repairing, adjusting, and installing locks, door hardware, and related equipment.

  • Inspect, maintain, and repair fire doors and related hardware to support life safety requirements.

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and other facility equipment.

  • Read and understand building system drawings and use technical information to complete maintenance and repair work.

  • Follow healthcare facility infection prevention requirements when performing maintenance activities.

  • Follow requirements for the safe handling and management of hazardous materials and waste related to maintenance activities.

  • Participate in the on-call rotation, including weekend coverage during assigned rotations.

What We're Looking For

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED, required.

Experience

  • Minimum six years of experience performing plant operations and general maintenance in a manufacturing, industrial, or similar facility or work environment, required.

  • Minimum four years of experience performing plant operations and general maintenance in a healthcare facility or similar work environment, preferred.

  • Experience performing locksmith work and working with fire doors and related hardware.

Required Licenses & Certifications

  • North Carolina Driver’s License (NCDL), required.

Additional Skills Required

  • Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.

  • Ability to successfully apply customer satisfaction standards.

  • Knowledge of a variety of hand and power tools used in facility maintenance.

  • Ability to interact effectively with individuals of all cultures and levels of authority.
