Full job description

Assembler – Engineering

Location: East Brunswick, NJ

Pay: $23–$25/hour, based on experience

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

Type: Permanent, Onsite

Job Summary

Seeking a detail-oriented Electronic/Mechanical Assembler to join the Engineering team. This role involves assembling small electronic and mechanical components, PCBs, RF modules, wire harnesses, and other precision assemblies. Candidates must be comfortable working with small components and performing soldering under a microscope .

Responsibilities

  • Assemble small electronic and mechanical components, PCBs, RF modules, and systems

  • Perform precision soldering under a microscope on small components

  • Assemble and work with small SMT components, including 0402–1206

  • Perform soldering, wire termination, crimping, cable/harness assembly, and chassis wiring

  • Follow assembly drawings, work instructions, and technical specifications

  • Use hand tools, measuring equipment, calipers, and torque wrenches

  • Inspect completed assemblies for quality, accuracy, and workmanship

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and rework assemblies as needed

  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail when working with small parts and components

  • Follow quality and workmanship standards, including IPC-A-610

Qualifications

  • 2–3+ years of electronic, electrical, or mechanical assembly experience

  • Hands-on experience with soldering small components under a microscope

  • Experience assembling small or precision components

  • PCB and SMT assembly experience preferred

  • Ability to read assembly drawings, schematics, and technical instructions

  • Experience with wire harnesses, cables, crimping, and mechanical assembly

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive precision work

  • Electrical/electronics experience is a plus

  • IPC-A-610 knowledge or certification is a plus

  • High School Diploma/GED

Location Requirement

The company is currently located in East Brunswick, NJ , but the site is expected to relocate to Somerset, NJ . Candidates must have reliable transportation and be able to commute to Somerset, NJ when the relocation occurs.

Pay Details: $22.00 to $25.00 per hour
