Easebuzz is a payment solutions (fintech organisation) company which enables online merchants to accept, process and disburse payments through developer friendly APIs. We are focusing on building plug n play products including the payment infrastructure to solve complete business problems. Easebuzz is one of India's few payment aggregators which is building SAAS emebedded with payments infrastrucure. We are well capitalised and have recently closed a fundraise of $4M in March, 2021 from prominent VC firms and angel investors. Key Job Responsibilities -

  • You will counsel the business on a broad range of commercial and regulatory matters, including negotiating with regional and commercial banks.

  • Facilitating local and cross-border payments and funds transfers, and complying with anti-money laundering and other payments related laws and regulations. You will work directly with the business in structuring, drafting and negotiating commercial transactions; provide day-to-day advice; resolve issues that arise in existing commercial relationships; and handle pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries.

  • Manage Merchant agreeements and Litigation if any.

  • Manage employee or company related policies, processes and offer letters from a legal perspective.

  • Developing and implementing legal procedures and policies to ensure the company’s compliance with applicable laws.

Skills and Qualifications required

  • A strong educational background, including a bachelor's degree in law or a related field acquired from an accredited institution. Additionally, a master’s degree in law or business administration will be welcomed.

  • 3+ years of legal experience (with at least two years at a law firm) preferably with some portion of that experience in payments, fintech, financial regulatory, data protection, technology or commercial transactions

  • Natural leadership and management skills, including an ability to communicate in an assertive and clear manner to those who have a strong understanding of the law, and those with novice knowledge.

  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills, demonstrating your ability to assess and understand complex legal issues, and provide strategic advice.

  • A leader in ethics, integrity and diversity and inclusion campaigns. Excellent business acumen in regard to understanding business operation and objectives, permitting your provision of legal advice aligning with business strategy.
