Full job description
Job Summary:
The Training and Development Coordinator is responsible for supporting and coordinating the employee education and development function within DDC, with an emphasis on the new employee onboarding experience, as well as coordinating ongoing organizational initiatives that enhance employee growth, engagement, and performance.

Essential Functions:
Business
-
Works with Leadership team to identify short and long-term training and development initiatives; prepares and implements the approved training budget.

Collaborates with department specific trainers across the Company to develop and deliver training content and documentation.

Develops and delivers management and leadership training and development classes internally and acts as a resource for identifying external training resources when necessary.

Assists in the management of the employee performance evaluation process including summary review and identifying training and development needs with departmental VPs
-
Maintains the Learning Management System, assisting in the creation of training content and ensuring accurate data collection for training attendance.

Evaluates the effectiveness of all training delivered.

Recommends cost-effective training tools and programs
People

Works with Senior Leadership and their staff to identify training and developmental needs.

Actively participates in the recruitment process, participating in interviews and consulting in the development of performance-based action plans when necessary.

Conducts New Employee Orientation, identifying areas for improvement to ensure a positive new hire experience.

Ensures new employee onboarding and initial training processes are adhered to within each department for frontline positions, identifying opportunities for improvement where necessary.

Manages new employee check-in process, and conducts exit interviews as requested.

Conducts or arranges ongoing training for all departments

Develops and builds teams – encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.

Coordinates the cross-functional work-with process, connecting employees with department leaders, identifying opportunities for career pathing.
Self-Organization
-
Conducts periodic “Needs Assessments” for company and individual departments to capture training and development needs.

Develops and organizes training manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials.
-
Proactively communicates successful program deliverables and time limits to HR Team, Senior Management, and Company, as appropriate.

Willingness to pursue self-education and professional development; to expand training skills and expertise.
Required Skills:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Organizational Development or related field, or equivalent experience and education.
-
Minimum 3 years of Training/Organizational Development experience
-
Strong verbal and written communications skills
-
Ability to present material to large audiences (more than 50 people)
-
Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
-
Ability to develop and execute programs
-
Proficiency with MS Office
Work Shift Requirements:
-
Ability to work additional hours, as needed to accommodate various employee schedules.
-
Must speak to supervisor at least two (2) hours before the scheduled start of their scheduled shift, when calling in sick. Voicemails or e-mail messages are not acceptable replacements.

Comply with all company policies related to DeCrescente issued uniforms, safety footwear, and required personal protective equipment (PPE).
-
Use and maintenance of company-issued equipment.
Environment & Physical Demands
-
Promote and actively support a culture of safety by adhering to all OSHA regulations, DOT regulations, SLA, company policies, and established safe work practices.
-
Notify Safety Officer and their Supervisor immediately (no later than 1 hour) and file a report immediately for all on- the-job accidents or injuries.
-
Ability to lift 20-30 lbs.
-
Able to sit for extended periods of time, stand, walk, squat, bend, twist, reach, balance, grasp.
This position requires a valid driver’s license and is subject to a pre-employment background check
