JOB SUMMARY:

Our company is currently seeking a skilled Senior Fire Pump Technician to join our team. Perform Fire Protection Systems installation and repair of automatic fire sprinkler systems. Projects will include Industrial, Commercial and some Residential. Can comprehend NFPA code, design/ installation methods & material lists for fire sprinkler systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicate with customers and provide excellent customer service

  • Understand design & Layout of Fire Sprinkler Systems

  • Hydraulic Calculations

  • Field Surveying

  • Understand listing of system piping for fabrication

  • Coordination for installation between trades

  • Ability to install Fire Pump, concrete pads and lift heavy objects with assistance from time to time

  • Conduct pre-functional testing and commissioning of fire pump systems to ensure that they are operating correctly

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issue with fire pumps systems

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • NICET certification preferred but not required

  • General mechanical knowledge

  • Experience in Fire Sprinkler Installation, repair or Design

  • Electrical experience preferred but not required

  • Pipe cutting and threading experience

  • Available to work nights and weekends when on call

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must work in an efficient and safe manner with limited supervision

  • Demonstrated competency in verbal and written business communication skills.

  • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license in accordance with Company guidelines

  • Able to complete documentation and administrative duties as necessary; proficient in the use of personal computers and Microsoft Office

Successful completion of a drug test and pre-employment background screening is required. MVR checks are required for all driving positions.
