Full job description

Direct a variety of business strategy projects that produce recommendations for addressing major strategic opportunities and play a leadership role in the Strategy function. Identify major business growth and marketing opportunities to increase profits and develop business plans for realizing these opportunities. Collect and evaluate measurable data such as revenue and market shares to understand the performance of the business through qualitative and quantitative business analysis. Lead the strategic evaluation of potential business targets for the potential creation of a new business venture, such as a joint venture, equity alliance, or acquisition. Lead and direct teams in the design and development of strategic initiatives. Partner with global teams to assess multinational opportunities and strengthen the strategy community across countries and business units. Anticipate needs of the business with a strategic mindset, and apply strategic frameworks to analyze problems and develop solutions. Drive continuous improvement using six sigma techniques for the strategy function to drive consistency and sustainability. Determine incoming project prioritization and staffing assignment. Actively lead campus recruiting activities, including brand-building on campus through presentations, social interactions, and other activities on campus. Drive solutions to strategic problems that fall outside of past experience through a top-down, hypothesis driven problem-solving approach. Drive project output through an insight-driven approach that is founded on efficient and prioritized usage of the resources, and high-quality, credible research and analysis as part of Strategy Core Project Output Creation. Select and maintain relationships with a portfolio of external strategy vendors and manage a budget for their consultation. Direct or coordinate financial modeling, financial analysis and budgeting activities to fund business unit operations, maximize investments, or increase efficiency. Formulate policies, manage daily operations, and establish departmental goals and objectives. Utilize specialized knowledge of Market Opportunity Prioritization to understand the strategy process, assess projects against strategic relevance to business, and work with stakeholders to effectively align work. Perform comprehensive statistical data analysis for multiple projects and analyze results based on knowledge of engineering products in order to communicate strategy topics to a variety of audiences. Lead business transformation initiatives by effectively applying change management principles and balancing stakeholders needs across the company.

Positions require a Master’s degree in Strategy or Business Management, Data Analytics, Accounting or related field and 4 years of experience as a Financial or Strategy Analyst, Financial or Corporate Strategy Manager, or related position. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Strategy or Business Management, Data Analytics, Accounting or related field and 6 years of experience as a Financial or Strategy Analyst, Financial or Corporate Strategy Manager, or related position. Experience to include: Identify business growth and marketing opportunities; Qualitative and quantitative business analysis; Strategic evaluation of potential business targets; Design and development of strategic initiatives to increase profits; Apply strategic frameworks to analyze problems; Drive continuous improvement using six sigma and Lean techniques; Drive solutions through hypothesis driven problem-solving approach; Strategy Core Project Output Creation; Manage a portfolio of vendors and budgets for strategy consultation; Financial modeling, financial analysis and budgeting activities; Market Opportunity Prioritization; Statistical data analysis; Change management principles and balancing stakeholders.
