Full job description

GENERAL PURPOSE

Responsible for the overall clinical quality, integrity, service excellence, and financial viability of rehabilitation programs within a geographical area, with $25M+ revenue direct responsibility of $15M. Plans, develops, implements, and monitors appropriate provision, documentation, billing of clinical services and customer relations. Identifies and implements growth opportunities for all appropriate services within each market.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Ensures market profitability and effective allocation of resources in accordance with budget expectations

  • Provides guidance and training to strengthen and advance site manager capabilities

  • Takes responsibility for the development, retention, hiring, performance management, compensation, and engagement of facility leadership and staff. Partners with and utilizes HR resources.

  • Complete reviews for documentation quality and billing integrity; some reviews may be delegated to appropriately credentialed team member(s)

  • Act as a leader, subject matter expert and role model for staff

  • Ensures high level of customer satisfaction through strategic planning, business development and problem resolution

  • Identifies, develops and expands strategic business opportunities utilizing appropriate resources (i.e., sales, outpatient, home health, wellness)

  • Oversees area compliance with accurate documentation, billing of therapy services, and denials. Partners with the HR administration team to ensure completion of annual compliance requirements.

  • Serves in the role of compliance liaison as described in the addendum

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate from Physical Therapy/Physical Therapy Assistant, Occupational Therapy/Occupational Therapy Assistant or Speech-Language Pathology program

  • Must possess and maintain a current license in at least one state of practice; Therapist license, strongly preferred

  • Minimum three (3) years experience as treating therapist or therapy assistant; Minimum five

  • (5) years, preferred

  • Minimum 5-7 years therapy management experience

  • Multi-site experience with direct supervision of 5-10 DORs

  • Successful management of budgets in excess $25M+ revenue with direct responsibility of $15M, preferred

  • Currently Credentialed Documentation Auditor (CDA) or ability to become credentialed within six (6) months

  • Ability to travel extensively with overnight stays

  • Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance
