Job Summary

Shambaugh & Son is looking for a Fire Protection Alarm Design Assistant on a part time basis. This position is responsible for assisting in the design and project managment of fire alarm systems, layouts, and construction.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and layout of Fire Alarm systems in 2D and 3D modeling softwares.

  • Read, analyze and interpret contract documents, construction drawings, and specifications of alarm and other trade disciplines.

  • Work with and comprehend mathematical and electrical concepts, including project cost analysis.

  • Other duties assigned.

Qualifications

  • Working toward a Degree in a technical or business discipline preferred, or alarm, electrical, or construction experience.

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and mathematical aptitude, with attention to detail

  • Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required.
