Health Technician (Ophthalmology/Optometry)

About the Position: This position is with the DEPT of Primary Care Optomerty Services at Evans Army Community Hospital in Fort Carson, Colorado. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Duties

• Screening patients for both optometry and ophthalmology providers.
• Act as refractive surgery scrub and laser tech.
• Support providers in OR for ophthalmology eye surgeries.
• Perform diagnostic testing as requested by the provider.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with medical procedures related to ophthalmology/optometry; setting up medical equipment for medical procedures; and triaging and treating eye injuries or disorders. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
