Description

The Residential Specialist with Med Support provides support and skills training to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a residential setting and within the community. This position is responsible for a ssisting with medical appointments, stocking medical supplies, and assistance in keeping all medical documentation files up to date, as well as administering medications as prescribed by physician .

Jeffrey Lane is a beautiful home in the small historic hamlet of Hurley, only minutes from Kingston. The residence, home to six very active men, has beautiful scenic views of the Catskill mountains. Do you like outdoor activities? These men love to hike, go biking and swim. This home has music playing often, so bring your musical talent to work. Maybe you enjoy watching movies? So do the men at Jeffrey Lane - watching at home, or in the theater, and even the drive-in. If you have a special talent that you would enjoy sharing, you can make a difference and truly enrich the lives of the men at this residence.

A high school diploma or GED is desired. Post-high-school education in Human Services is a definite plus. An acceptable NYS driver's license and basic computer knowledge are a must. An informative, paid new hire orientation is provided in a comfortable learning environment. Training will also include Van Certification, SCIP, First Aid/CPR, and Medication Administration certification.

HOURS: 40/Monday through Friday/7:00 am to 3:00 pm

STARTING SALARY: $20.81 to $22.90 per hour

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred

  • Acceptable NYS Driver's License

  • Computer skills
