Full job description

Our client, a leading manufacturer in the aluminum rolled products industry, is seeking a dedicated Environmental Engineer to join their team. As an Environmental Engineer, you will be part of the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) department supporting compliance and sustainability initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, proactive problem-solving, and excellent communication abilities, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Environmental Engineer

Location: Lewisport, KY

Pay Range: $105,000 - $130,000

What's the Job?

  • Provide technical expertise related to air, water, waste, and chemical management to ensure environmental compliance and risk reduction.

  • Manage and maintain environmental permits, including renewals, reporting, and inspections.

  • Support regulatory reporting, audits, certifications, and inspections to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local environmental regulations.

  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and training programs that promote good environmental practices across the facility.

  • Maintain environmental data, records, and documents confidentially, and evaluate analytical data to assess site compliance.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in environmental engineering or compliance within a manufacturing or industrial setting.

  • Working knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations, including EPA standards, permitting, and audits.

  • Experience with ISO 14001 environmental management systems.

  • Strong analytical, technical writing, and problem-solving skills, along with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
