Full job description
SF Bay Area (hybrid) Salary range: $197,000 - $232,000 Reports to: VP of Marketing
About the role Product marketing at Rime is not a support function, it's a core part of how we build and sell. We're looking for someone who's ready to own real scope: shaping how the market understands our products, sharpening what we build next, and producing the content that fuels our GTM engine. You'll work closely with product owners, not downstream of them, bringing customer and market signals directly into roadmap conversations, and pushing back when priorities drift from what the market actually needs. At the same time, you'll be a prolific creator: fully focused on powering the pipeline, generating a steady stream of sharp, credible content that trains our sales team, fuels campaigns, and earns visibility in an AI-driven search and discourse landscape. This is a hands-on, high-output role for someone who wants outsized ownership. If you’ve had experience in fast-paced product marketing roles at developer platform, AI, or API companies, this could be the perfect role for you.
How You'll Make an Impact
-
Represent the customer: Champion the needs and pain points of our customers through interview analysis, market research, competitive intelligence, and by engaging with analysts and our sales teams.
-
Own the story: Create positioning and messaging frameworks for our products, personas, and features by working closely with product and sales to understand needs and pain points. Develop persona specific messaging tailored for the needs of demand generation, SDR, sales, and channel partners.
-
Enable the team: Ensure everyone at the company understands our product and our customers in a way that is relevant to their jobs. Working with Product Management, produce sales collateral including playbooks, sales plays, pitch decks, case studies, competitive analysis etc.
-
Launch the product: Build and drive the strategy for launches by building plans and partnering with product management, demand generation, sales, and customer success.
-
Educate the market: Work with Demand Generation on a content strategy to support our pipeline goals; produce creative, compelling collateral (blogs, whitepapers, webpages, demos, videos, etc) and campaigns.
-
Bring your unique perspective: Develop and implement best practices and frameworks that improve outcomes for the company and the impact of product marketing.
What You Bring to the Table
-
View the written word and narrative as craft, not something to outsource to LLMs.
-
You’ve built (or helped build) product marketing as a function from scratch within a fast-paced startup environment
-
You know how to turn deeply technical capabilities into reasons a buyer actually cares.
-
Have strong product marketing experience for LLMs, AI agents, developer tools, APIs, or technical products.
-
Have a proven track record of owning launches end-to-end in a fast-paced environment.
-
Have experience working with and guiding senior partners to launch new products, features, and programs.
-
Excel at cross-functional collaboration.
-
Possess strong storytelling skills, with experience crafting compelling narratives that interrupt patterns and stand out from the crowd. You roll up your sleeves to write, record, and publish content yourself.
-
You have a strong product marketing background working on technical products that directly influence the growth of the company
-
You represent the voice-of-the-customer and can distill actionable product roadmap recommendations from customer feedback, market research, and competitive analysis.
Who You Are Curious, sharp, energetic and a little relentless. You push on ideas, including your own. You want to win, and you want to win as a team.
