The opportunity:

The Fiber Supply Finance team is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to support financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and business analysis for the Fiber Supply organization. This role partners closely with operations, procurement, accounting, and business leaders to provide financial insights that support decision-making and drive business performance. The Senior Finance Manager will lead key planning and reporting processes, identify opportunities for process improvement, and manage and develop two direct reports. This position reports to the Director, Finance & Accounting, Fiber Supply.

How you will impact Smurfit Westrock:

  • Provide financial planning and analysis support for the Fiber Supply organization.

  • Analyze monthly financial results and provide insights on budget, forecast, and prior-year variances.

  • Lead monthly forecasting processes and support the annual budgeting process.

  • Prepare financial reporting, bridge analyses, management presentations, and performance summaries for leadership.

  • Partner with operations and procurement teams to understand business drivers and translate operational performance into financial impacts.

  • Support month-end close activities, including financial review, accrual analysis, account monitoring, and reporting.

  • Develop financial models, scenario analyses, and ad hoc reporting to support business decisions and strategic initiatives.

  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting, controls, and data visibility.

  • Support cost savings initiatives, capital investments, and operational improvement projects through financial analysis and tracking.

  • Manage, coach, and develop two direct reports while fostering a collaborative and results-oriented team environment.

  • Build strong working relationships with internal business partners and finance leaders across the organization.

  • Participate in reporting automation and process enhancement initiatives to improve efficiency and decision support.

What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelor\u2019s degree in finance or accounting (MBA, CPA, or CMA is preferred).

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, finance, accounting, or business analysis preferred.

  • Experience supporting manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, recycling, or operations environments preferred.

  • Strong understanding of forecasting, budgeting, financial reporting, variance analysis, and month-end close processes.

  • Advanced Excel skills required, experience with financial systems, reporting, automation, Hyperion, and visualization tools preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop financial models and turn data into actionable business insights.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Prior leadership, supervisory, mentoring, or project leadership experience preferred.

  • Proven ability to build partnerships and influence decision-making across functions and organizational levels.
