DCI Donor Services Tissue Bank (DCIDS) is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic team member to join us to save lives!! Our mission at DCIDS is to save lives through organ and tissue donation, and we want professionals on our team that will embrace this important work!! We are currently seeking a Director of Processing Operations in the Tissue Bank. The Director of Operations will be responsible for the design, implementation, oversight and maintenance of all processing functions. This role will develop a culture of quality across all processing operations, work collaboratively with all departments supporting new product launches, process improvements, and work towards meeting customer demand and on-time delivery. The Director of Operations works closely with the Sr. Director of Operations to develop and execute processing related strategic plans. COMPANY OVERVIEW AND MISSION
For over four decades, DCI Donor Services has been a leader in working to end the transplant waiting list. Our unique approach to service allows for nationwide donation, transplantation, and distribution of organs and tissues while maintaining close ties to our local communities.
DCI Donor Services operates three organ procurement/tissue recovery organizations: Sierra Donor Services in New Mexico and California, and Tennessee Donor Services. We also maximize the gift of life through the DCI Donor Services Tissue Bank and Sierra Donor Services Eye Bank.

Key responsibilities this position will perform include:

Responsible for management and oversight of all processing-related operations. Evaluates and approves processing needs, head count and schedules to meet customer demands and on-time delivery. Develop and present to the Sr. Director of Operations long term plans in order for the processing department’s goal to align with the overall company strategy.

Oversee day to day processing operations including production planning, staffing, and oversight of all processing equipment and facilities.

Ensures the safety and compliance throughout the processing department and operations through instilling a culture of accountability with expectations of high quality, standards and compliance.

Responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction of final product quality and on-time delivery.

Mentor the processing leadership team creating and monitoring growth and development plans.

Assists Sr. Director of Operations with preparing a processing operations annual budget.

Performs other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:
-
Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
-
3 years of experience in tissue banking leadership. Direct management experience required

CTBS preferred
-
Valid driver’s license with ability to pass MVR underwriting requirements
-
Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office applications to include Word and PowerPoint is required
