Full job description

Job purpose

The Manager will lead new business generation for the New York Stock Exchange's (NYSE) Listings franchise, owning the pipeline end to end: identifying target markets, building outreach strategy, and converting qualified leads into new listings. This is a field-based role, working closely with senior sales leadership and cross-functional teams across ICE, with regular travel to meet prospective issuers at their headquarters and represent NYSE at industry conferences and events nationally.

Responsibilities

  • Build and drive new business for the Listings franchise - set targets, prioritize sectors, and lead outreach campaigns across firm-led and self-sourced opportunities.

  • Own the full sales cycle for prospective issuers, from prospecting and qualification through handoff to close, serving as their primary point of contact and a credible advisor in high-stakes conversations.

  • Travel regularly to meet prospective issuers on-site and represent NYSE at industry conferences and events nationally.

  • Articulate NYSE's competitive differentiation, tailoring the pitch to each company's sector, size, or profile.

  • Act as a trusted advisor on issues affecting public companies (governance, activism, ESG, proxy matters, investor access), connecting issuers to NYSE resources like Index Advisory, Investor Access, Board Services, and the NYSE Institute.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Communications, Events, Capital Markets, and Relationship Management to support strategic account outreach and expansion.

  • Own pipeline reporting and forecasting, maintaining accurate Salesforce records to give leadership visibility into performance and trends.

  • Leverage Salesforce, FactSet, ZoomInfo, and AI tools to drive efficiency in research, meeting prep, and prospect communications.

Knowledge and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field required; MBA a plus.

  • Enterprise or B2B sales experience, ideally in financial services, fintech, or technology

  • Proven track record building and closing a new business pipeline, including complex, multi-stakeholder, long sales cycles.

  • Experience selling to or advising senior executives (CFOs, General Counsel, Investor Relations, or Boards).

  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior decision makers at prospective client organizations.

  • Experience with selling into publicly-traded companies a plus.

  • Proficiency with Salesforce, FactSet, and Microsoft office suite; familiarity with AI platforms (Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity) a plus.

Schedule and travel

This role is required to be in the office 5 days a week when not traveling for business purposes. Regular travel is likely to meet prospective issuers at their headquarters and to attend industry conferences and events across the country.

Base salary range for New York candidates

The expected base salary for this role, if located in New York, is between $120,000 – $160,000 USD.  The base salary range does not include Intercontinental Exchange’s incentive compensation.  While we provide this range as general guidance, at ICE we compensate employees based on the skillset and experience of the individual. Regular full-time ICE employees are eligible for a suite of competitive employee benefits, including healthcare coverage (medical, dental and vision), a 401(k) plan, life insurance, time off, and paid leave for qualifying circumstances.
