Job Description
An employer is seeking a Marketing Project Manager in the Downtown Cincinnati area. The Project Manager will serve as the central coordinator for several cross-functional marketing initiatives, maintaining critical-path schedules and ensuring projects continue moving from initiation and definition through delivery and closure. The Project Manager will partner closely with teams across creative, digital communications, content, strategy, media, and other marketing functions to establish project scope, define the appropriate approach, develop schedules and milestones, coordinate resources, and ensure deliverables are completed according to agreed-upon timelines, budgets, and quality expectations.
On a day-to-day basis, this individual will manage multiple projects and workstreams simultaneously while keeping stakeholders aligned on priorities, responsibilities, dependencies, and upcoming milestones. The Project Manager will regularly communicate project status and performance, update project plans with actuals and forecasts, identify potential risks or deviations from plan, and develop mitigation strategies before issues impact delivery. When necessary, this person will escalate unresolved issues and decisions to the appropriate stakeholders while helping teams determine the best path forward.
The Project Manager will also coordinate with internal teams, contractors, vendors, and consultants, including reviewing vendor proposals and bids when applicable. A major part of the role will be relationship management and communication, so this individual must be comfortable working with different personalities, perspectives, priorities, and areas of expertise. The Project Manager will use established project management methodologies to formally track projects, maintain documentation of decisions and approvals, and provide visibility into progress.
Beyond executing individual projects, the Project Manager will look for opportunities to improve how work gets done across the marketing organization. This includes evaluating existing processes, recommending improvements, presenting proposed changes to functional leaders, gaining stakeholder alignment, and helping implement those changes. Ultimately, this individual should bring organization and structure to a complex marketing environment while maintaining enough flexibility to adjust quickly when business needs or priorities change.
Logistics: The role will be in office five days a week on a 9-5pm schedule. No travel required for the role and the team has flexibility based on personal day to day appointments.
