Job Skills / Requirements

• Maintain a professional security presence at the loading dock and designated service entrances.

• Monitor and control access to the dock and other restricted areas.

• Verify the identity and authorization of vendors, contractors, delivery drivers, and other visitors.

• Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, visitors, contractors, vehicles, keys, and other required activity.

• Monitor vehicles entering and leaving the dock area.

• Observe deliveries and loading/unloading activity for suspicious or unauthorized behavior.

• Prevent unauthorized persons from entering employee-only, service, storage, or other restricted areas.

• Conduct regular security patrols of the dock, receiving areas, service corridors, parking areas, exterior doors, and other assigned locations.

• Check doors, gates, locks, and access points to ensure they are properly secured.

• Monitor CCTV cameras and security systems when assigned.

• Immediately report suspicious persons, unattended property, safety hazards, damaged doors or locks, theft, vandalism, and other unusual activity.

• Respond to alarms, disturbances, medical emergencies, fire alarms, and other incidents according to established procedures.

• Contact management, law enforcement, fire department, or emergency medical services when required by policy.

• Complete clear and accurate daily activity reports and incident reports before the end of the shift.

Education Requirements (All)

High School Diploma or GED
