Full job description
Job Title: Field Application Engineer
Location: Leetsdale, PA
Type: Direct Hire
Compensation: $67,000.00
Work Model: Onsite – onsite
Responsibilities
-
Install, troubleshoot, and repair equipment or systems in line with technical specifications and safety requirements
-
Carry out routine maintenance and inspections to keep equipment running at peak performance
-
Diagnose technical problems and identify effective solutions
-
Support customers with technical guidance related to equipment operation and repair
-
Keep accurate documentation of service visits, repairs performed, and parts consumed
-
Adhere to applicable industry regulations and internal procedures
-
Coordinate with customers and internal teams throughout the service process
-
Support assembly operations and routine testing of products deployed in field applications
-
Partner with product and sales teams to resolve field issues, clarify customer needs, and supply technical product information
Requirements
-
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical) required
-
Minimum two (2) years of experience in field service, maintenance, or equipment installation required
-
Experience with hydraulic systems preferred
-
Proficiency with hand and power tools required
-
Minimum two (2) years of experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required
-
Knowledge of fluid power systems preferred
-
Manufacturing environment experience preferred
-
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems required
-
Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude required
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving capability required
-
Capable of managing workload independently required
-
Familiarity with hydraulic filtration systems and fluid power components preferred
-
Experience with diagnostic tools and software preferred
-
Valid driver's license required
-
Valid passport preferred
-
Certified Fluid Power – Hydraulic Specialist certification preferred; willingness to obtain required

Regular travel required (including driving), with overnight travel 2–3 nights per week
