EAC Network, a leading not-for-profit social service agency dedicated to helping over 79,000 people through 100 impactful programs across Long Island and NYC, is looking for a dedicated full time Nassau Senior ADR Community & Court Services Specialist to join the Long Island Dispute Resolution Centers (LIDRC).
Salary: $32/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM with occasional evening
Location: 175 Fulton Ave. Suite 400 in Hempstead, NY
What drives the core purpose of this job:
The Senior ADR Community and Court Services Specialist provides leadership for Nassau County court-connected and community-based ADR services. This position is responsible for in-court intake and screening, case coordination, mediation scheduling, community mediation services, and Surrogate’s Court support. The Senior Specialist also provides mentoring and operational support to other specialists. The position requires periodic travel between Nassau and Suffolk Counties, as well as occasional travel throughout New York State for meetings, trainings, conferences, program coverage, and other agency-related activities.
What are the key responsibilities:

Provide daily Small Claims Court coverage in Nassau County during morning court calendars.

Conduct in-court intake screening and explain mediation to litigants for mediation appropriateness.

Maintain regular communication with court clerks and court administrators.

Mediate as needed.

Prepare and submit required court documentation and disposition reports.

Support Surrogate’s Court ADR services on a shared rotation basis.

Coordinate and schedule monthly Court Calendar with staff and volunteer mediators.
Community Dispute Resolution Center Services

Manage community cases for ADR services in the afternoon.

Conduct intake, screening, and case preparation for community referrals.

Coordinate mediations and provide direct mediation services as needed.

Maintain relationships with community referral partners.
Caseload Manager and Quality Assurance
-
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of case data entry.

Monitor compliance with CDRC reporting standards.

Train and support staff in Caseload Manager data procedures.
-
Participate in regular meetings with OCA data and analytics staff.
General Program Responsibilities

Maintain confidential case files and documentation.

Enter case data into Caseload Manager.

Participate in staff meetings and training activities.
-
Assist with outreach and public education efforts.

Perform other ADR duties as assigned.
What key knowledge, skills, and abilities are required to excel in this role:
-
Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s degree in conflict resolution, human services, criminal justice, or related field

Certified mediator or eligible for certification
-
Experience working in court-based or community mediation programs preferred

Strong organizational, communication, and data management skills
-
Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office, database systems, and virtual platforms (Zoom,Webex, Teams)

Valid NYS driver’s license and reliable transportation
