Job Description:
-
Adhere to established company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations.
-
Inspection, calibration and performing pre-commissioning check out of instruments and associated sensing devices that measure, indicate, transmit, record and control to Fire and Gas Panels, PLCs, DCS, Control Panels, Analyzers and SIS Systems.

Adjustment and pre-commissioning check out of pneumatic control valves, valve actuators, motor operated valves and associated controls.

Tests accuracy of flowmeters, level meters, pressure sensing devices, temperature indicators, controllers, counters, detectors, etc.

Troubleshooting as required to locate incorrect wiring or defective devices in the system, utilizing test equipment, such as pressure gauges, mercury manometers, potentiometers, pulse and signal generators, oscilloscopes, transistor curve tracers, and ammeters, voltmeters, and wattmeters.

Test functionality of instrumentation in accordance with manufacture instructions, specifications, details, datasheets and drawings.

Able to read drawings; P&IDs, Details, Location, Schematics, Isometrics, Loops Diagrams, Control and Connection Diagrams, etc.

Prepare mark-ups (Redlines) drawings and sketches as required for submittal to Engineering for As-Built.

Works in a timely manner, accurately and, maintains an orderly and clean work area.

Performs regular maintenance and cleaning of tools, equipment and instrumentation (both installed and pre-installed).

Prepare and record Calibration Records, QC inspection documents and Loop Check Records.

Perform installation inspections and Loop Check with Engineers and Client as per Installation Testing Procedures (ITPs).

Physically able to work within a construction environment; including extensive walking, climbing, confined spaces, elevated work areas and lifting of tools and equipment up to 40lbs.

Typically requires a minimum of 48 months of industrial construction experience.
