Your attentiveness and timely communication help prevent falls, self-harm, and other safety events while supporting positive patient outcomes across the organization.
In this role, you will continuously monitor designated patients through live video feeds, follow established observation protocols and response algorithms, and interpret concerning behaviors or alarming events that require escalation. You may provide verbal redirection to help patients avoid at-risk behaviors and will collaborate closely with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure appropriate follow-up. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in healthcare without providing direct patient care. Success requires strong observation and communication skills, sound judgment, sustained attention, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality. We provide the training, tools, and support needed to succeed in a rewarding role where your vigilance and professionalism help keep patients safe every day.
The Telemetry Department plays a vital role in supporting patient care across three hospitals, including our tertiary care center in Marshfield. In this role, you will identify significant changes in patient conditions, respond to alarm parameters, and promptly communicate critical findings to nursing and medical staff, including during emergency situations. Success requires strong attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and the ability to remain focused in a fast-paced environment where timely communication can directly impact patient outcomes.
Telemetry Monitor Technicians collaborate closely with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals while maintaining a high degree of independence in their daily responsibilities. Your expertise and vigilance play an essential role in promoting patient safety and delivering high-quality care across the organization. For those interested in beginning or advancing a healthcare career, Telemetry offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference without providing direct patient care.
