Full job description

As an Ultrsonographer at Cheshire Medical Center you will practice with committed Radiology professional’s and a range of providers to deliver excellent patient care to our community. You will be asked to perform a variety of highly technical Ultrasound exams and procedures using your skills and understanding of these complicated procedures.

  • Independently performs appropriate ultrasonic examinations, utilizing instrumentation settings based on a thorough knowledge of ultrasound physics

  • Consults with radiologists and/or referring physicians, providing technical interpretation of diagnostic images

  • Oversees patient scheduling and coordinates with other areas. Updates patient examination history file, and records unusual conditions/limitations

Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology required. One year experience as a Sonographer preferred. Achievement of registration by the ARDMS within one year of employment is preferred, within two years is required. Current license with the New Hampshire Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy. CPR certification must be acquired within three months of hire and updated annually
