What You'll Do

This role is a key driver of performance, culture, and customer experience. The Body Shop Manager manages the activities of all body shop related staff ensuring exceptional customer service and the attainment of Lithia's performance targets.

  • Maintain a quality staff that meets and exceeds training standards outlined by the manufacturer

  • Hire and train quality people in all Body Shop positions

  • Ensure that all manufacturer policies and procedures are followed

  • Consistently meet departmental production objectives

  • Manage the administration, tracking and follow-up required to stay current on warranty and receivables

  • Read, understand, and take action on MIS to generate maximum revenue and control expenses

  • Complete body shop reporting and month-end procedures

  • Inspect repair orders daily for legibility, accuracy and legality

  • Show a commitment to providing the highest quality of customer service by resolving customer requests, questions, and concerns in a professional, and prompt manner

  • Create and implement a marketing plan that will show specific growth to the Body Shop department

  • Hold daily and monthly staff meetings covering key information

What You'll Bring

  • 2 or more years of current Body Shop / Collision Repair Manager experience, required

  • Experience managing a team

  • Any Manufacturer Certifications, a plus

  • CCC ONE (estimating software) experience, a plus

  • Axalta ProfitNet (management reporting) experience, a plus

  • Organization and Structure of a Parts Manager

  • Drive and Determination of a Service Manager

  • Solid understanding of estimating process and system

  • Knowledge of new vehicle technologies and mechanical operations

  • Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency.

  • Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence
