What will I do as a Smart Buildings Fire & LifeSafety Sales Intern?

  • Workalongside Sales Managers and Sales Executives within the local branchoffice.

  • Assistthe sales team with lead generation, prospecting, and account outreach.

  • Supportthe preparation of sales presentations, proposals, and reports.

  • Helpmanage CRM data by tracking leads and maintaining data accuracy.

  • Shadowsales calls and meetings to learn effective sales techniques.

  • Collaboratewith cross-functional teams (operations, other business units,departments, etc.) to support customer engagement

  • Analyzesales performance data and provide insights into driving growth.

  • Participatein team meetings and contribute creative ideas for improving salesprocesses.

  • Participatein sales related activities (learning how to prospect, go-to-market, buildB2B relationships, on-the-job training and shadowing, etc.)

  • Rotate through our core business segments, which include Building Automation, Fire/Life Safety, Security and Energy/Sustainability Systems.

What will my responsibilities be as a SmartBuildings Fire & Life Safety Sales Intern?

  • PositionSiemens as an industry leader among service providers, leveraging Siemensworld-class digital service delivery as a key differentiator.

  • Collaboratewith operations and internal teams to deliver excellent customeroutcomes.

  • Helpprospect for new customers and engage with existing customers on newofferings.

  • Visitcustomer sites with both Solutions and Services Sales Teams.

  • Developvalue-based proposals, estimates, specifications, and presentations.

  • Workwith operations, finance, legal and other inside and outside resources toobtain the sale.

  • Attendjob take-offs and turnover meetings.

  • Activelyparticipate in sales department meetings, workshops, and seminars to stayknowledgeable on current market, business, and product trends.

The goal of this internship program is to develop futuretalent for the Siemens organization and help you identify where you may beinterested in pursuing a career at Siemens post-graduation.

To apply for the Smart Buildings Fire & Life Safety SalesInternship, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Education: Must be current enrollment as an undergraduate at an accredited 4-yearU.S. college or university.

  • Majors: Pursinga degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, IndustrialEngineering, Energy/Sustainability, Built Environment, ConstructionManagement or Business Administration, Sales/Marketing with a strongtechnical engineering aptitude.

  • Preferred: Participation in a school sponsored sales engineering club/organization,pursuing a professional sales certificate or similar.

  • EarliestGraduation Date: May 2028

  • Availability: Abilityto work 40-hours per week for the 10-week program (May - July or June -August).

  • Relocation: Norelocation assistance or housing stipend is provided. Must be willing and able to work atthe branch office location and surrounding local area.

  • Eligible candidate must be located within 50 miles of office location with access to a reliable vehicle, as this role does not provide transportation, housing or relocation support.

  • WorkAuthorization: Must be legally authorized to work in theUnited States on a continual and permanent basis without company or schoolsponsorship. This program does not support students on a Visa suchas F1, J1, M1 and H1B as well as OPT/CPT.

Benefits:

The hourly pay range for this position is $24 - $28 per hour, based off of your projected graduation year. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location. Additionally, interns for Siemens are eligible to contribute into our 401K program.
