How you’ll make an impact in this role

• This is an entry staff level role that supports the theraputic team in assiting to provide direct behavioral health patient care.

• Assist patients with performing activities of daily living (ADLs).

• Provide or assist with providing direct patient care, diagnostic procedures and therapeutic interventions.

• Observe and record patient behavior and activities. Report any changes in condition and suggest modifications to the treatment plan.

• Establish a therapeutic relationship with assigned patients.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Certification specializing in Crisis Prevention preferred.

• Nurse Aide credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing preferred.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

What additional preferences we're seeking

• Previous experience as a Behavioral Health Tech preferred.

• Previous experience and enjoy working with the youth (Kindergarten thru High School) age populations!

• Experience providing ADLs prn.

• This is an entry-level role that supports the therapeutic team within a multi-age, multi-diagnosis classoom.
