Position Overview
MKS2 Technologies is seeking an Enterprise Monitoring Analyst to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Enterprise Service Operations and Management (ESOM) program. This role supports a 24x7x365 Command Center environment, providing real-time monitoring, alert analysis, incident triage, and performance monitoring of enterprise applications and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities

Monitor enterprise dashboards and analyze IT alerts and incidents.

Notify system owners of outages or performance issues within established SLAs.

Support Event Management capabilities through proactive monitoring and analysis.

Monitor application performance, availability, and end-user experience.

Utilize tools such as Dynatrace, SolarWinds, and ServiceNow to identify and troubleshoot issues.

Recommend improvements to monitoring processes and operational procedures.

Communicate system impacts and outage information to stakeholders.

Provide technical support and knowledge transfer related to monitoring tools and capabilities.
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

5+ years of relevant experience (8 additional years may substitute for degree).

Experience with enterprise monitoring and performance management tools such as Dynatrace, SolarWinds, and ServiceNow.
-
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
-
Experience supporting large-scale enterprise IT environments.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience in a Command Center or Operations Center environment.

Advanced knowledge of Dynatrace and/or SolarWinds.

Familiarity with ITIL and IT Service Management (ITSM) practices.

Experience communicating technical issues to executive and operational stakeholders.
