Full job description

EggAI · Full-time · Remote (EU only)

The Role

You will be the technical lead on our infrastructure and platform engagements: the foundations our client deliveries run on.

This is a tech lead role, not a management role away from the keyboard. You are accountable for the technical delivery from the architecture to the timeline, passing through the quality standards.

The role is client facing. You are the technical voice in front of the client's architects and engineers, and you turn what they need into something a small team can actually build.

You will work daily with infrastructure engineers and a project manager, set the direction for the engineers alongside you, and solve hard problems with EggAI's head of engineering. The people management side of the role has active support from the head of engineering whenever you need it.

What You'll Own

Kubernetes platform architecture

  • The architecture of our Kubernetes-based platform, defined in Terraform

  • Cluster design, workload deployment and lifecycle, rollback, multi-tenancy

  • The standards and golden paths delivery teams build on, so they don't reinvent them per project

Technical delivery

  • The technical plan for the engagement: architecture, sequencing, and what "done" means

  • Breaking the work down with the project manager, and being honest about estimates and risk

  • Accountability for what the team ships — technical decisions, quality and timeline

Leading the team

  • Setting direction for the infrastructure engineers alongside you

  • Raising the bar through code and design review, mentoring, and clear written design

  • Still shipping yourself — you keep your hands on the system

The client relationship

  • Holding the technical conversation with the client's architects and engineers

  • Translating what the client needs into a plan the team can execute

  • Defending trade-offs and explaining constraints, in writing and in the room

You will also contribute to — but do not own alone — the reliability and compliance posture of what we run: SLOs and incident response, cost control, EU data residency requirements, and the audit trails our regulated clients need.

What We're Looking For

  • Deep knowledge of Banking infrastructure

  • Deep Kubernetes experience in production — cluster design and operation, not just deploying into someone else's cluster

  • Infrastructure as Code in production — Terraform or equivalent, owned over time rather than written once

  • Has led the technical delivery of a platform or infrastructure project — set the direction, led a small team of engineers, and was accountable for the outcome

  • Senior/Staff-level infrastructure, platform or SRE background — strong fundamentals in reliability, observability, and incident ownership

  • Comfortable in front of a client: can hold a technical conversation with the client's architects and stand behind a decision

  • Platform-thinking mindset: builds for internal customers, not just operations tasks

  • You think about blast radius before you ship

  • Clear written communication — design docs, trade-offs, post-incident reviews

Nice to have

  • Consulting or professional-services background, delivering infrastructure projects for external clients

  • Experience in regulated industries (finance, banking, health data), where audit trails and compliance constraints shape the design

  • Prior experience with AI/ML or agentic workloads in production

  • EU sovereign cloud, data residency or public sector infrastructure experience

  • Experience growing a platform team from a small base

About EggAI

Agentic workforces are inevitable. Making them work is our mission.

EggAI is building the engineering methods, operating models, and reusable technology to deploy agentic workforces with the quality and control required for sustained business impact.

Working closely with enterprise clients, we design, implement and operate agentic systems that evolve from augmenting individual tasks to autonomously executing end-to-end processes alongside people—resilient, controlled, and scalable. We begin with the client problem, select the technical approach that best serves it, and remain accountable through deployment, adoption, and operations. Each deployment strengthens the next by turning production learning into reusable capability.

We are an experienced, international team working across Europe. We set high standards, take ownership of outcomes, and value clear thinking, candid feedback, and the ability to turn ideas into tangible results.
