Full job description

Kelly is hiring for a R&D Laboratory Technician for a 12-month contract role at Midland, MI 48640 with our prestigious client.

Job Title: R&D Laboratory Technician

Primary Location: Midland, MI 48640

12-month contract - On-site role

Monday - Friday - 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Pay rate: $33/hr.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate benchtop test equipment for characterizing a variety of material properties and conducting reliability testing.

  • Learn quickly to become proficient in a wide range of tests and processes.

  • Accountable for own contributions in a timely manner

  • Solve simple problems using scientific reasoning.

  • Use hand-held tools for sample preparation and/or projects involving hardware modification or fabrication.

  • Collect and compile data from tests.

  • Collaborate with multifunctional team members.

  • Maintain the lab including labeling samples and proper waste disposal.

  • Will be responsible for maintaining, verifying, and calibrating some lab equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree (preferred) in engineering or science disciplines.

  • Skilled in data acquisition and data management.

  • Proficient in trouble-shooting characterization and application equipment.

  • Ability to recognize testing improvements (whether technique-, hardware-, or software-related)

  • Background in silicones and related test methodologies is beneficial.

  • Fluency in English language
