Landfill Laborer

Potrero Hills Landfill , a Waste Connections company, is looking for a Landfill Laborer to join our team in Suisun City, CA ! This is a full time, long term position with a reputable company.

The days of the week are subject to business needs and seniority, but the schedule may include Saturdays. Shift can start as early as 3:30am or as late as 9am.

This is a union position with union pay scale and union benefits. The starting pay will be 27.00/hour. The pay range for this job is $27.00 - 31.76/hour.

Responsibilities Include:

• Spotting Trucks

• Cleaning Equipment

• Picking up litter

• General site cleanup

• Driving employees to their work stations

• Helping out with scale house duties: cash handling, computer work, customer service.

• Performing other assigned duties at the landfill

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of work experience. Preferably in a labor type position.

• The ability to continually lift up to 75lbs repeatedly throughout an 8 hour shift.

• Proficient on computers.

• Experience operating equipment is a plus.

• Ability to work in all weather conditions throughout entire shift

• Mechanical ability a plus.
