JOB DESCRIPTION

This position will report out of AMP HQ in Columbus, OH

Position Title: IT Intern (Helpdesk & Infrastructure)

Reports To: Manager of IT

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Essential Functions:

  1. Monitors the IT Support Application, resolves as many tickets as possible, and assigns remaining tickets to second level support.

  2. Provides network preventative maintenance services to ensure network integrity.

  3. Assists with acquisition and deployment of hardware, software, and services.

  4. Desktop/laptop system imaging and deployment.

  5. Monitor and review system generated alerts.

  6. Perform and maintain inventories.

  7. Work with vendors to resolve failed hardware incidents.

  8. Assist with remediation of security vulnerabilities in the environment.

  9. Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Qualifications:

  1. Must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university.

  2. Must have experience with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office tools.

  3. Familiarity with Windows server operating systems.

  4. Must work well in both team and individualized tasks.

  5. Must have experience with or the aptitude and willingness to learn:

a. Basic PC and Printer Maintenance

b. Software Installation and Configuration

c. Basic Computer Networking

d. Basic Internet Application Development and Deployment

  1. Must possess initiative and the ability to learn quickly.

  2. Must possess the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks.

  3. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
