MECHANICAL SYSTEMS INSPECTOR (SHIPS) LEADER

Summary You will serve as a MECHANICAL SYSTEMS INSPECTOR (SHIPS) LEADER in the Non-Nuclear Inspection Division, Inspection Branch 133.2 of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD. Responsibilities You will explain changes to technical procedures and determine proper material safety precautions. You will advise other employees on existing instructions to ensure deadlines are met. You will monitor and ensure safety requirements are followed and tools and equipment are used properly. You will provide oral and written instruction, outlining quality and quantity of work and inspection requirements, and general work/inspection methods and procedures. You will also perform the duties of a Mechanical Inspector; setting the pace, including demonstrating proper methods.
