INTL Back End Java Developer

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer with strong expertise in cloud-native application development, observability, and modern DevOps practices. This individual will play a key role in designing, building, and supporting scalable microservices running in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments. The ideal candidate has deep experience with Java, Spring Boot, GraphQL, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring technologies such as Grafana and Prometheus.

Key Responsibilities Backend Development & Architecture Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices using Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot. Build and enhance cloud-native applications deployed within Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Develop and maintain GraphQL APIs to support application integrations and data access. Participate in application architecture discussions and contribute to best practices for microservices design. Cloud & DevOps Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support automated deployments and releases. Collaborate with development and operations teams to improve system reliability, scalability, and deployment processes. Support cloud infrastructure and application deployments within GCP environments. Observability & Monitoring Implement observability frameworks, application metrics, logging, and monitoring solutions. Utilize Grafana and Prometheus to monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and create operational dashboards. Analyze system metrics and proactively identify opportunities for performance improvement. Production Support & Collaboration Participate in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of production issues. Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver new features and platform enhancements. Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The expected compensation for this role is anywhere from $11-$14 USD per hour.

Skills and Requirements

-6+ years of experience developing applications with Java. -6+ years of experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot. -6+ years of experience designing and supporting microservices architectures. -Experience building and consuming GraphQL APIs. -Experience creating and supporting CI/CD pipelines. -Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, code quality, testing, and deployment automation. -Experience implementing application monitoring, observability, and metrics collection. -3+ years of experience working within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments. -At least 1 year of hands-on experience with: Grafana and Prometheus
