Job Title: Compliance Specialist IAgency: Insurance Department of the State of GeorgiaJob Requisition ID: JR0000003829Shift: Any (United States of America)Compensation Details: $54,000.00 Job Description: Under general supervision, the Compliance Specialist, Lead investigates reports and complaints of criminal and non-criminal allegations with respect to insurance agents' licensing. This position is responsible for training new hires and existing departmental staff.

Reviews, classifies, categorizes, prioritizes, and/or analyzes data. Includes exercising discretion in determining data classification.

Updates and maintains training documents and standard operating procedures (SOPs) as needed.

Assists with developing new processes and procedures to enhance operations.

Exercises judgement, decisiveness, and creativity in situations involving the evaluation of information against sensory, judgmental, or subjective criteria to determine the course of action for penalties to include license revocation.

Requests documents and collects evidence from outside agencies and other parties.

Conducts investigative interviews.

Compiles detailed and accurate reports of findings and makes recommendations for criminal prosecution or administrative sanctions.

Attends and/or testifies at court hearings as needed.

Conducts research needed to generate reports, complete projects, and accurately respond to questions and concerns.

Attends training sessions as required to gain skills and knowledge.

Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organizational standards.

Performs customer service functions in person, by telephone, and by mail; provides information/assistance regarding department/division services and procedures.

Provides professional representation for the Agency or Division during meetings, community outreach, and public contact.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma/GED and two (2) years of job-related experience.--Note: Some positions may require a valid driver's license.
