Northrop Grumman is seeking Engineers for an internship opportunity. This position will be located at our Defense Systems Sector in Colorado Springs, CO.

Responsibliities :

  • Gain proficiency in Model-based System Engineering (MBSE) and associated tools (e.g., DOORS or Cameo).

  • Work in an agile development environment.

  • Design and define software system architecture artifacts for new or existing Software Products.

  • Requirements creation and tracing to software components.

  • Work with a team of software developers, other Software System Engineers and SME’s (subject matter experts).

The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Strategic Deterrent Systems Division (SDSD).

Basic Qualifications

A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

  • Be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled full time in Fall 2026.

  • Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree.

  • Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027.

  • Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.70/4.0 or higher

  • Current active Secret Security Clearance or higher

Intern Pay Range for Colorado Springs, CO:

  • Bachelor’s: $24.25 to $31.00 per hour

  • Master’s: $34.50- $37.25 per hour

At Northrop Grumman, our internship pay rates are standardized and take into account three main factors: the anticipated graduation date of the individual, the cost of labor of the geographic location, and whether the internship is considered technical or administrative.
