Full job description

Are you tired of operations roles where every day is a copy of the last and you end the year with the same skills you started with? As an Operations Coordinator at BodySpec, no two days look the same — you’ll coordinate a vendor order one afternoon, build out a brand-new process the next, and work shoulder-to-shoulder with our operations and executive teams the whole way. No stagnation, no doing the same thing on repeat, just real skills in logistics, planning, and cross-team coordination, and a front-row seat to how a company actually runs. BodySpec is transforming how people understand their health through accessible DEXA scanning, and operations is where that promise gets kept.

First-year Operations Coordinators in Austin, TX can expect to earn up to $62,925 in total cash compensation, plus equity.

You'll Love This Job If You Have: • Comfort in the Unknown: You’re unfazed when there’s no playbook. A new problem, an unfamiliar tool, a process nobody’s written down yet — you’drather dig in and figure it out than wait for someone to hand you instructions.

  • Organizational Excellence: You’re naturally organized and nothing slips. You keep track of every moving piece without anyone checking up on you, and sloppy, half-finished work makes you uncomfortable.
  • Bias for Action: You’re self-driven and you want to get things done, both feet in. You take raw direction and turn it into executed results, and you want your work to have a direct, immediate impact.
  • Ruthless Dedication to Competence: You hold yourself and your work to a high bar, and you’re always hunting for the next thing to sharpen. You give feedback generously and welcome it in return, because you see it as the fastest way to get better — for you and everyone around you.
  • No Ego: You’ll chase down a vendor order one hour and tackle a facility maintenance ticket the next, and you take pride in doing both well. You understand that the details you handle are exactly what keep the whole operation running.
  • Belief That Everyone Deserves Better Health: You stay motivated through demanding stretches because you know what the work is building toward. Helping people take control of their health is what makes the effort worth it.

What Will You Do? • Work directly with the operations and executive teams to keep day-to-day operations running smoothly.

  • Own a range of operational logistics — planning, ordering, scheduling, and coordinating the moving pieces that keep the business running.
  • Communicate with stakeholders across other teams — including our fleet and storefront managers — to keep schedules and priorities aligned and everyone working from the same understanding.
  • Ease the load on the operations team and help ensure consistent, continuous operational excellence across the company.
  • Demonstrate a bias for action — organizing and aligning cross-functional teams around important decisions while leaning in to help wherever it’s needed.
  • Learn the full range of the operations team’s responsibilities and grow into a more independent operator over time.

Requirements • Based in Austin, TX and able to work in person at our office.

  • Available to work a standard Monday through Friday schedule.
  • Valid driver’s license and a driving record in good standing.
  • Experience in operations, logistics, coordination, or a similar role (flexible if you can demonstrate the skills).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills — you keep several projects and deadlines moving at once and close loops without being reminded.
  • A clear, proactive communicator who can coordinate across teams and keep schedules and priorities aligned.
  • Comfortable with everyday business and logistics tools (spreadsheets, email, and scheduling software) and quick to pick up new systems.
  • Ability to thrive with direct, unfiltered feedback — we’ll tell you exactly what you need to improve.

Compensation • Base Salary: $55,000

  • Performance Bonus: Up to 7% of base salary annually ($3,850) — half paid in cash ($1,925), half in stock options
  • Team Revenue Bonus: $500/month when we hit monthly goals ($6,000) annually — we hit our goals 9 out of 12 months in 2024)
  • Total Cash Compensation: Up to $62,925
  • Equity: Stock options through performance bonus and additional grants based on performance

All team members regardless of position are eligible for additional stock option grants and profit sharing based on performance. We expect both cash and equity compensation to grow as the company scales.

Benefits • Health, dental, and vision insurance

  • 401(k)
  • Paid time off
  • Sick leave
  • Company-wide peer bonus program for recognizing excellent teamwork
  • Employee assistance program
  • Regular team events (both virtual and in-person)
  • Direct mentorship from experienced operators who’ve scaled companies before
