Job Description

Position Overview The Quality Engineer (QE) will support a Data Center Quality program by driving supplier quality initiatives, managing quality assessments, and ensuring compliance with product and process requirements throughout the manufacturing and commissioning lifecycle. This role partners closely with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to identify, resolve, and prevent quality issues while maintaining high standards for infrastructure equipment and systems. Key Responsibilities Supplier Quality & Program Support Manage supplier onboarding and quality development activities. Drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, and issue resolution for non-conformances. Support quality program initiatives, process improvements, and documentation updates. Facilitate technical reviews and alignment meetings with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Bug & Issue Management Create and manage quality and pre-commissioning issues within Autodesk, CxAlloy,etc Perform inspections including: Wire routing and termination verification Wire labeling inspections Current and voltage transformer orientation verification Dimensional and torque verification Red/Orange checklist completion reviews Document non-conformances with photos, location details, and supporting corrective action information. Supplier Assessments & Audits Conduct Quality Assessment Reviews (QuaSAR) and Product Assessment Reviews (ProBAR). Evaluate supplier Quality Management Systems (QMS), manufacturing processes, and product compliance. Develop assessment reports and track corrective actions through closure. Factory Witness Testing Support factory acceptance testing (FAT) and witness testing activities for electrical, mechanical, and structural infrastructure equipment. Review, validate, and sign off on inspection checklists and quality records. Ensure accurate asset data management within Autodesk and CxAlloy systems. Reporting & Quality Management Provide weekly and monthly status reports, action plans, issue tracking updates, and stakeholder readouts. Maintain project assets, quality dashboards, KPIs, and compliance documentation. Perform data validation and support reporting, analytics, and program governance activities.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field. 5+ years of experience in quality engineering, supplier quality, manufacturing quality, or supplier management. Experience with quality management tools and methodologies including: SAP SPC tools Minitab Lean Six Sigma FMEA 8D APQP Experience conducting supplier audits, quality assessments, and factory inspections. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to travel to supplier sites as required. ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or equivalent quality certification. Experience supporting data center, electrical infrastructure, manufacturing, or industrial equipment programs. Experience with Autodesk, CxAlloy, BIM360, ACC, or similar project and quality management platforms.
