Full job description

Summary You will serve as a CRIMINAL INTELLIGENCE ANALYST in the Provost Marshall Office/Marine Corps Police Department of MARINE CORPS AIR STATION MIRAMAR. Responsibilities You will analyze criminal information from law enforcement personnel, various law enforcement databases and open sources in support of law enforcement operations. You will identify criminal trends, patterns, and hotspots to support strategic and tactical goals and decision-making processes. You will maintain current and establish new law enforcement information databases to facilitate the secure storage and future exploitation of criminal information and intelligence relating to law enforcement operations and investigations. You will coordinate with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies in support of greater regional law enforcement investigations, operations and initiatives. You will manage the analytical side of complex investigations by conducting link/event/association analysis as well as assist the Provost Marshal/Police Chief with prioritizing patrol and high crime areas. You will ensure all information utilized is collected, analyzed, and disseminated in accordance with regulations. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing analytical support to military law enforcement personnel, identifying criminal trends, patterns, and hotspots in support of strategic goals.
