DevOps Engineer (Experienced or Senior)
Company: The Boeing Company
The Boeing Company is seeking an DevOps Engineer (Experienced or Senior) in Berkeley, MO to join our team of engineers and architects working closely with our Cyber Systems and IT business partners to architect, develop, deploy, administer, and maintain cloud environments to support DoD product software development across the F/A-18 & EA-18G Mission Systems Environment. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.
We seek candidates who have proven skills in cloud architecture, DevOps, software development, and infrastructure as code. This position will place you in roles where you have the opportunity to make an impact on the results of software development teams across our company.
Position Responsibilities:

Design, development, deployment, and maintenance of cloud environments to support product software development
-
Responsible for time-phased Roadmap Development for F18 Mission System’s transition to the cloud

Collaborating closely with our IT and cybersecurity colleagues to ensure cost-effective, timely, and secure deployment of the environment and its tools

Interfacing with development groups across the F/A-18 & EA-18G program in the planning and deployment of software factories and other toolchains and components
-
Interfacing and collaborating with programs across Air Dominance during planning and implementation stages to ensure knowledge sharing and commonality where applicable across platforms
-
Conduct evaluations, trade studies, and strategy discussions regarding cloud environments
-
Ensure consistent DevSecOps deployments into cloud environments
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Berkeley, MO.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
-
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment (An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start may be required)

Bachelor's Degree
-
5+ years of experience with DevSecOps (examples ansible, chef, cyber applications)
-
Experience with DevSecOps and Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools and execution
-
Experience with programming in C, C++ or C#
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
-
Level 4: 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
-
Experience in software development, systems engineering, or integration and test experience with mission systems on tactical platforms
-
Experience with security and monitoring cloud technologies such as IAM, GuardDuty, or Security Hub (or equivalent)
-
Understanding of security frameworks such as DoD RMF, CMMC, DFARS, and FedRAMP
-
Strong communication skills and a self-starter that can thrive in a fast paced, agile work environment
-
Understanding of designing and implementing full stack/microservice infrastructure
-
Understanding of secure software development methodologies and Security First mindset

Summary Pay Range Experienced - Level 3: $112,200 - $151,800 Senior – Level 4: $136,850 - $185,150

Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
